Meet June
A Trainer Who Truly
Working & Herding Dog Manners Trainer | Puppy Training Specialist
My journey into dog training began with love — and loss. When my German Shepherd, Zeppelin, passed away, I felt the silence deeply. I missed the partnership, the rhythm, and the connection that only a dog brings. That loss led me into professional pet care more than 20 years ago, where I began walking dogs and building trusted relationships with families and their companions.
In 2012, I officially opened my pet care business, naming it in honour of my Australian Cattle Dog mix, Maxwell, and my beloved cat, Presley Michael — two animals who shaped my understanding of loyalty, structure, and connection.
Then COVID arrived, and so did grief. I lost my business, I lost my father, and the housing crisis resulted in my having to leave South Florida. So, I decided to hit the road in my RV and traveled to over 20 states. I rescued my dog Bluey, who is a fearful and reactive dog, while traveling on this journey.
But in the stillness that followed, I got honest about what I actually wanted. I didn’t just want to care for dogs anymore; I wanted to understand them. And I wanted to help the people who love them feel genuinely confident navigating life together.
Over time, I saw a consistent pattern: working and herding breeds thrive when given clear structure, calm leadership, and thoughtful guidance.
In 2023, I attended Animal Behaviour College for dog training, and received certification in September 2025 as a professional dog trainer, strengthening my hands-on experience with formal education in canine behaviour, learning theory, and positive reinforcement training.
Alongside these speaking engagements and professional gatherings, I continue to invest in my own education and skill development.
I am currently enrolled in the Puppy Start Right Program, Click to Calm – Healing the Aggressive Dog online through Karen Pryor Academy — one of the most respected names in positive reinforcement training — further deepening my foundation in early puppy development and science-based socialization.

My Training Philosophy
Structure Creates Security
I use only positive reinforcement and force-free methods. No prong collars. No shock collars. No intimidation of any kind. These are not just preferences — they are non-negotiable.
A dog who trusts their owner is a dog who can truly relax — and a relaxed dog is one who learns, bonds, and thrives. That is the whole point.
“When you truly listen to your dog, everything changes.”
Structure creates security
Clarity reduces confusion
Calm leadership builds trust
Relationship-based training creates lasting change
